They say all good things must come to an end, right? No, I don’t accept that, but “change is inevitable – change is constant” that one I believe. After 6 amazing years the time has come for me to move on from Time for a change – but even when the change is one you’ve initiated it can still be bittersweet.

Magnolia macrophylla
Magnolia macrophylla, aka Clifford — in bloom last May was, and is, Megan’s vision. She invited me along for the ride and I’m still not sure how I lucked into being part of the adventure. What a thing the three of us – Megan, Patricia and I – have created! I am so proud of the role I’ve played in growing this company.

Quercus dentata ‘Pinnatifida’ aka Cutleaf Emperor Oak

You may think it’s all about the plants, but for me it has always been about the people (well okay, and the plants – after all the plants are why we’re here). The people I’ve met and the relationships we’ve built are central to what has made so much fun. Our plant lust partner nurseries are owned and staffed by the most incredibly generous and knowledgeable people. You, our users/readers/fellow plant-lusters, are full of so much passion, and my partners, Megan and Patricia, well they’ve become like extended family. I am excited to see where they take this company – I know many great things are in store.

Schefflera brevipedunculata
Schefflera brevipedunculata (say that five times fast, after a glass of wine)

This is where I wish I had some big announcement about what I’m doing next – but that’s not the case. I’m not running to anything…but rather taking the time to figure out what it is that I want to do. I’ve got some ideas, but nothing concrete quite yet. And since Megan and Patricia have been kind enough to invite me to come back and guest post on the plant lust blog, you’ll probably hear from me here again. Meanwhile you can still find me over there, on danger garden…where Megan and I first connected and where this whole adventure began for me. Thank you for being part of it!
