This glossy evergreen ground cover only gets 3-4” tall. The biggest we have seen are 18-24” across. The new foliage is purplish bronze in spring. We have not seen many with fruit. But even without fruit this is an excellent ground cover.
Thick glossy green leaves. Mat forming.
A delightful new GC developed by N.Carolina State Univ., this creeping blueberry has small glossy leaves with reddish new growth. Sun-PSh/Med-Wet/GdDrain
Native from our own Virginia to Georgia. Forms a low mat of shiny deep green to bronze leaves. Small clusters of rose-red flowers in Spring. Needs moisture when young but fairly drought tolerant afterward. Well's Delight was selected from a native stand in North Carolina, very low growing, to 5-8 inches high (where the species is 8-12"), branches trailing or low arching, leaves glossy dark green, slightly reddish in winter, fruit black to purplish black

Shiny, dark, evergreen leaves are the dominant attraction of this low, spreading, heat-tolerant groundcover. Dainty pinkish flowers in midspring are an additional treat. Requires good drainage. Tolerates partial shade.
