A very dwarf evergreen shrub for the shade border, with coppery fall/winter color and apricot buds that open in early spring with drupes of white lily of the valley flowers. Foliage becomes more green in summer heat. Slowly grows to be 2-3' tall and 2-3' wide. Plants grow best in an evenly moist soil that has good drainage in partial shade.Evergreen, deer resistant!
Small evergreen shrub with a dense, compact, mounded habit. Clusters of white, urn-shaped flowers appear in early to mid-spring and are long lasting. (Selection of P. j. var. yakushimanum).
White, slightly fragrant, panicles cover this plant in spring. Scarlet new growth matures to green. Dwarf, mounding form reaching 2 x 2 feet in 10 years. Exposure: shade to full sun. Growing Conditions: evenly moist, well drained acidic soils. USDA Zone: 5-8
COVERED with white bells, this compact (to only 2') gem is a treasure in spring for foundation, border or container. PSh/Med
Evergreen, dense habit bright red-pink new growth. White bell flowers early spring, good in containers
What can you possibly do to make Pieris more wonderful? Well how about more cold hard and longer lasting white blooms by the dozens on long pendulous stems -- usually around for weeks where others are fleeting! With smaller than usual leaves, it grows as a dense, compact mound 24" tall and a bit wider in 10 years. Absolutely dramatic in bloom just smothered with white blossoms. Bred in Holland.

This crazy little plant looks like a dwarf rhododendron with pointed leaves. 'Cavatine' is one of the best dwarf forms available with its cold hardy, long lasting white flowers that completely cover the plant late in the season.

A delightful little evergreen that covers itself with upright panicles of white blooms in spring. Grows rapidly when young, but stays very compact. Also buds young; will flower even as a #1-size plant. AGM winner. GPP award.
