‘Valley Valentine’ is an evergreen shrub has dark green foliage that provides a strong contrast to the dainty chains of pink/red flowers in spring. The new spring foliage emerges bright red, then remains green throughout the winter.
Evergreen, compact, rounded shrub. Dark green foliage is a backdrop to the rich maroon flower buds that open to deep pink blooms in early spring. Urn-shaped blooms hang in pendulous clusters. Growth Rate medium
Dark red winter buds open a deep rose during early spring and will typically remain in bloom for over 2 months. New growth is bronze red and if you're lucky it will send a second flush of new growth in August. Grow in shade to full sun. Evenly moist well-drained soil.
Red-pink bell shaped flowers late winter/early spring. Evergreen, likes rich, humusy soil. Zones 6-9.
