More upright than 'Sugar Plum', 12 - 24"T x 9 - 12" W, 'Coppelia' blooms April - May with terminal racemes of open bell-shaped deep purplish-pink flowers 1cm across. It does well in a container, rockery, your alpine garden, or in any well-drained garden spot. The intergeneric hybrid is between Phyllodoce (mountain heaths and heathers) and Kalmiopsis (from Oregon's southwest regions). Plant in acidic soil and be careful not to overwater. Evergreen. Minimum temperature: -20?F
An abundance of lavender-pink flowers in April-May. Quite vigorous. Needs well-drained, acid soil. Upright habit.
