Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Very cool pinstriped lily-of-the-valley that grows to 9" tall in colonies. One of the most useful groundcovers for shade, this one adds a distinctive contrast to the green of shade gardens by its delicate, variegated appearance. Spreads easily but will need to be divided over time to maintain flowering. Plant in a woodsy soil in filtered sun or deep shade, underneath trees or among other woodland plants, such as ferns and crinums. USDA zone 3-8.
Zn 3. Gold striped leaves. Fragrant white flowers.
One of the most striking perennials with creamy-yellow stripes on each leaf. There are many selection out there; this particular one I picked up in 1996 at the now discontinued Axletree Nursery in England. It has proven to be not only intensely striped but also very stable. It is very likely the variety 'Potsdam Stripe'. Flowers still got their famous fragrance. Please note: These plants have been potted in winter and won't have a firm root ball until later in year when they grow new roots.
