Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Dianthus isensis 'Dancing Geisha' is a captivating variation on the theme of pinks and carnations with whimsical, pendulous, fringed petals in shades of white, pink, rose, and lavender. Flowers are lightly fragrant rising from mounds of narrow, blue-green foliage. These plants are grown from a mixed colour seed strain. Each pot could have one or multiple colours. We won't know until they bloom. Order a few pots to try to get a selection of different colours. Use at the front of the border, in rock gardens, and in containers where these unique flowers can be fully admired and appreciated. Pollinator attractor. Deer resistant.

An unusual form of a perennial garden favorite with large finely dissected flower petals in a mix of white pink purple and red in summer. 10 to 12 inches tall and wide. Full sun and average moisture. Hardy to USDA zone 5.

Magical fringy-feathered, elongated petals hang like colored lace in shades of white, pink, rose and lavender, moving like undersea creatures in the breeze from June to September. Blooms are lightly fragrant and top 10-12” stems on mounded plants equally wide. Narrow foliage is a pleasing blue green. Average garden soil, water when dry in a sunny spot. Interesting as a cut flower, lovely at the front of the border, rock gardens and in pots.
