Nursery contributed plant descriptions

So easy, fast growing and perfectly well behaved in bright shade or 1/2 day sun. Filling out to about 6' x 8' in a few months to make a solid screen of elegant, deep green, ferny foliage, it's loaded all Summer with 1.5" smoochy-lipped, tubular, fish-like pink and yellow blooms - a thrill for the neighborhood hummingbirds! Since it's not too big and not too small, it works well on a trellis, and even in a large container. You can cut it back to 2' tall in Winter for fresh new growth - and it self-sows for much appreciated freebies. Best in well composted, loamy soil. Hardy to 15 degrees F.
