Liriope muscari 'Majestic' is an evergreen perennial groundcover grass (or grassy in appearance) with green foliage. In summer purple flowers emerge followed by black fruit. Features grassy texture. Grows well with sun - mostly shade and regular - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Does well in acidic and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something verticillium wilt resistant.

This group gets its name from greek, leiron, which means lily or in gree mythology, after liriope, a fountain nymph & mother of narcissus. These plants as a group are very adaptable to a wide range of exposures, soil conditions, and climates. They can tolerate excess moisture or severe drought and many adverse situations where nothing else would survive. Considering these attributes along with their diversity of textures, growth habits, colors, and extremely low maintenance requirements, there is little wonder that liriope is one of the most popular groundcovers on the planet.
