Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Lrope muscari 'Okina' is a frosted monkey grass with a compact mound of broad strap-like foliage arises paper white in spring and later develops green tips against which the lilac-purple flower spikes are shown to great effect. A strikingly different type of variegated plant for part shade that will stop garden visitors in their tracks. It has taken years for us to bulk up our stock plants and we are pleased to finally offer it.

Awesome new selection from Japan! The upper 2/3's of the spring foliage is ghostly white, making this a real stunner!! The white fades back to green as the summer wears on (takes longer in cooler temps) – 10" clump – Sun to shade – also nice in pots – Most soils – Takes some drought when established – Late summer stalks with lilac colored flowers followed by black berries. How bout alternating with Black Liriope??

A form of Mondo Grass with new foliage emerging creamy white, that is delicately tipped and tinted in deeper green as the season progresses. Lavender flower spikes in late summer. Slow growing but very unique!

The top of each leaf of this neat, compact 10" clumping "grass" is "frosted" with white in spring, then speckled with green ; finally all green by fall; topped with lilac purple flowers late-summer into fall. Sun-PSh/Med-Wet

Brighten a garden spot with this stunning, clumping monkey grass, to 10” tall, from China. Evergreen leaves emerge a very eye-catching white in spring and become streaked through the season, turning all green in the fall. Stalks of lilac flowers in late summer add to the delight of this special plant. For sun to shade. Frost hardy in USDA zone 6.
