Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Cheerful perennial with grassy leaves and, in this form, clear white, star-shaped flowers atop longish stems, appearing mostly in fall and into winter but here and there throughout the summer. To 2 ft tall forming clumps to 12" wide in full to part sun with regular moisture for best performance. Vigorous grower, easily kept in bounds. Frost hardy to 0F, USDA zone 7.
Vigorous grassy foliage in clumps with an astonishingly fresh display of pure white starry flowers daintier than a gladiola in late summer and fall. Excellent for cutting. Don't forget to add it to your planters and pots for autumn excitement and all season spiky foliage. Quite special. Also available: S. 'Oregon Sunset' (peach) and 'Rosea' (pink).
Blooming on each 18 in. stem above green, sword- shaped blades are 10 to 30 snow white, starlike flowers. We contrast the blooms and foliage with the textured, golden leaves of Geranium 'Ann Folkard'.
