(AKA Schizostylis coccinea 'Pallida')Want some cut flowers for the Thanksgiving (and maybe Christmas) table?? This 18" high clumping Crimson Flag starts blooming in Sept and continues well into the winter season! Full sun, drained soils, summer moisture for best flowering. 'Pallida' has soft, powder pink blooms. This South African gems deserves more notoriety!

Flowers of pure white forms ('Alba') are unfortunately small. 'Pallida', although not pure white, has relatively large flowers with wide petals - just like most other varieties. It opens pale pink and matures to almost pure white. Likes well drained soil, but prefers some summer moisture. Excellent cut flowers. May bloom all winter in zones 8 and higher.
