    Acorus gramineus 'Hime-masamune' is an evergreen or semi-evergreen perennial groundcover aquatic grass (or grassy in appearance) with gold, green, variegated and white foliage. Features grassy texture. Grows well with sun - shade and standing water - regular water. Adapts to various soil conditions. Does well in average, clay, rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant, humidity tolerant and verticillium wilt resistant.

    In spite of it's mouthful of syllables, this is one adorable little plant. Only 3"-6" tall and attractively variegated, it loves moist, boggy conditions, but will do well in any moisture retentive soil.

    An exceptional fine textured plant with narrow leaves edged in creamy yellow that fade to white later in the season. We got this from Heronswood years ago however it has long since departed from their catalog, indeed it did not even leave a trace in Google. It is depressing that so many great plants are not maintained in cultivation, someone should start a propagation repository for plants no longer in the nursery trade, this would be a great mission for a private or public botanic garden. ZONE 5
