Dark-green grassy leaves, attractive all year, are freely striped with cream; of tufted habit (8-12") for indoor or outdoor use. PSh/M-W

By: Forestfarm

Versatile evergreen groundcover with upright, narrow, cream striped, grassy foliage to 12" - Slow spreading mat is a great choice to brighten a dark part of the woodland garden…also happy streamside or even submerged in a pond! Acorus prefers a moist to wet site...the spot where everything else dies!

White striped leaves; many Acorus contain beta-asarone, which is also found in Sassafras and Asarums and is mildly hallucinogenic as well as carcinogenic. ZONE 5

By: Arrowhead Alpines

Named for the pleasant, pinelike fragrance that emanates from the entire plant, Acorus is neither a grass nor a sedge. This variegated grassy perennial is an unusual member of the Arum family, once used as an aromatic addition to perfumes, gin and beer. An illustrious, water-loving accent for damp shady borders, shallow water or at pond's edge, its waxy evergreen fans of upright, green flattened blades emerge from slowly creeping rhizomes while boasting neat alabaster striped margins.

White-striped Japanese sweet flag. Similar to 'Ogon', but with green and creamy-white variegated foliage. Plants grow best in light to deep shade and are an outstanding choice for containers on shady patios. Garden origin.

By: Native Sons

Grassy, iris-like leaves with cream and golden-yellow variegation stand 12-18" tall, forming clumps to 1 ft wide or so, spreading by underground rhizomes. Summer flowers - sedge-like, tiny and green - contrast with variegated foliage. Easy in the garden, they enjoy sun or part shade in the hottest places and moist soils, even tolerating boggy conditions or standing water to 3" deep. Should not be allowed to dry out. Evergreen in USDA zone 8 and root hardy to zone 5.

By: Cistus Nursery

Tolerates 2" of water. Pinelike fragrance.

By: Little Prince of Oregon

Does very well as a marginal or submerged water plant. It's dark green, narrow, stiff, leaves are dressed with creamy variegation. Grows best in light shade. Very nice planted in masses along pond edges or stream sides.
