Blueray Blueberry has large and extra sweet fruit. It ripens early to mid-season with a large bountiful crop. The bush is very winter hardy and a vigorous grower. It is a northern highbush variety. It is one of a few that is self-pollinating. You only need one plant, but more than one helps for a bigger yield of fruit. All blueberries need acidic soil around 4.5 - 4.8. Have your soil tested before amending the soil. The leaves turn a bright red in fall. Blueray Blueberry requires at least 800 chill hours.
The berries are very large, light blue and sweet in flavor. This bush is also a very useful, handsome ornamental plant with glossy green foliage that turns bright red and yellow in the fall. The stems will also be reddish in winter. This is a good pollinator for 'Bluecrop'. Ripens mid-season, usually mid-July to early August. Growth Rate fast
