Nursery contributed plant descriptions

These strong handsome plants produce excellent crops of large sweet mid-season blueberries followed by lovely fall color. S/M (not dry) Acid
Deciduous, upright shrub with ornamental qualities as well as delicious, sweet fruit. Bell shaped flowers appear in May and mature into light blue berries up to 1/2" in diameter, ripening in mid/late July to mid/late August. Dark green leaves turn shades of red in the fall and the stems also exhibit red color, which is nice during the winter. It is best to plant more than one variety that will bloom at the same time. Good pollinator for 'Blueray'. Mid season variety.
Fruits ripen in mid season and the harvest goes on for weeks. (You need two types for cross-pollination, three being even better.) The 5-6' tall bushes become a blaze of crimson in the fall, so they are ideal arranged as an informal hedge. Set plants 4-8' apart and make sure the soil is acidic. You'll have fresh blueberries for pies and preserves for many, many years. Bluecrop is a Midseason variety. Medium size fruit with a high sugar content. Plants yield heavily.
Is supposedly the most widely planted variety because of its large crops of fruit during the midseason. V. 'Blue Crop' is a 4'-6' shrub that is healthy and adaptable over a wide range of the country.
Midseason. Upright, vigorous, and very productive. The industry standard for excellence. Large and flavorful light blue fruit. Easy to grow. And like all blueberries, it has excellent fall color. Ornamental value is good. Fiery red in fall.
There is a reason Blue Crop is the most planted garden blueberry in the country: it is the most adaptable and consistent. From zones 4-7, the large midseason berry can be depended on to show up. The bush is not the most beautiful on account of being loose and floppy, but it is disease resistant.
Midseason, large, sweet, high quality fruit. Disease resistant, red fall color. Regular water. Zones 4-8.
