A handful of narcissus are grown, in large part, for their scent. Chinese Sacred Lilies fit the bill, with a sweet, clear fragrance without the tiniest hint of muskiness. Put the scented candles away and grow these on a sunny windowsill this winter.

The single variety is traditionally used in the Chinese New Year celebration. This is the rare doulbe variety which is even more potently fragrant than the origional. They can bloom as early as November and continue through March, depending on when they get water. Actually native to the desert of Palestine where they grow during the winter rainy season. Needs well drained soil. Multiplies well. IN COLDER CLIMATES, THESE LARGE BULBS ARE VERY EASILY FORCED FOR WINTER BLOOM INDOORS! Large bulbs! Grown, freshly dug, and sorted by hand here in the USA.
