Nursery contributed plant descriptions

There's a clump of these incredibly fragrant narcissus growing down the street from one of our staffer's house. During April, every dog walk route includes the house with the Sir Winston Churchill daffodils. Upon arrival at that yard, there's a pause, a lean forward, a deep inhale, eyes closing slowly and a sigh. Who says little acts of generosity don't matter?

Sir Winston Churchill is one of my favorite narcissus. It is much larger than Cheerfulness and other late blooming doubles. It has several silver dollar size blooms per stem. It is very fragrant and popular as a farmers-market cut flower. Daffodils are reliable naturalizers with long lasting flowers. Great for cut flowers or for announcing spring to the whole neighborhood. They bloom early and profusely. These bulbs are large 14-16 cm around. These should produce two flower stem the first year and more ever after.
