Vaccinium 'Misty' is a broadleaf deciduous fruit / vegetable or shrub with green foliage. In spring pink flowers emerge followed by blue fruit. Features glossy texture. Attracts bees and beneficial insects making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun and even moisture - regular water. Does well in acidic, rich and well-drained soil.

This may well be the perfect edible landscaping shrub, the 6' bush features dark-pink flowers in spring, attractive green foliage all summer that bursts in brilliant red in autumn and of course, large (65 per cup), sweet, sky-blue berries; a good variety for southern gardens with its heat resistance and low chill hour requirements (300 hours),'Misty' is self-pollinating, makes a wonderful hedge plant!
Misty Blueberry only requires 300 chill hours to set large, sweet fruit. Attractive foliage turns red in fall and can remain evergreen in mild climates. Misty blueberries has medium large, sweet fruit from mid-summer to fall. Heat tolerant. Misty Blueberry is self-pollinating, but produces better with other varieties close. It is a southern highbush variety.
Southern High bush type, 6 feet tall at maturity, fruit ripens early May, yields are high, fruit size is large (aprox. 65 berries per cup), fruit quality very good, berries are firm, hand or mechanical harvest, vigorous grower, ripening closely follows Sharpblue, Misty is often used to pollinate with Sharpblue for higher yields. Self pollinating.
Early. Not only is 'Misty' a very flavorful blueberry, it makes a very attractive shrub. Foliage is blue-green accentuated by the hot-pink flowers that appear in the spring. Abundant amounts of medium to large, sky blue berries ripen in early summer on 4-6' tall bushes.
