Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Doesn't get any better then this plant. The 18”x 36” evergreen plant will start blooming in March and will have a massive bloom then. This year, in early July, the plants were covered with white flowers. Our plants will still be blooming in October. Full sun to semi -shade.
D. caucasica x D. collina hybrid (aka ‘Blafra’). Rounded, open branched semi-evergreen shrub with profuse white spring flowers that are intensely fragrant, then sporadic thru fall. Creates a 2-3’ mound in AM sun, sharp draining, consistently moist soil with protection from freezing winter winds. Raised beds, rock gardens, appreciates humus.
There is nothing like the fragrance of Daphne and this mini 2 footer will provide exquisite fragrance from April to October with its cream flushed flowers; bred by Blackthorn Nursery in UK. Great for borders and containers. S-PSh/M/GDr PPAF
This hybrid Daphne forms a neat, mounded, evergreen shrub two to three feet high and three feet wide. The dark green leaves make a pleasing backdrop for the pink buds and white flowers which are intensely fragrant like sweet baby powder. 'Eternal Fragrance' flowers generously on the previous season's wood in April and May and from June until autumn on new growth provided good moisture and nutrients. Rich, well-drained soil in sun. Do not move after planting.
This recent hybrid boasts a never ending succession of white blushed pink fragrant blossoms beginning in late May and continuing into the gall. Foliage is a handsome and evergreen in mild winter climates. 'Etrnal Fragrance' grows fro a rounded shrub of 3.5' x 3.5'. Daphne have a reputation of being persnickety…but we've found if you plant them in well drained spoil with a handful of dolomitic limestone, and do not overwater, they thrive on neglect. (Do water too establish the first year!!!) Plants resent growing in pots or being transplanted; get your Daphne in the ground, without delay. BTW, Deer do not like Daphne!
Chosen for its very fragrant large white blooms from May into October, this evergreen 3' x 3' shrub is one of the longest blooming shrubs in our garden. The white against dark, glossy green is a classic, reminiscent of Gardenia. Give it good drainage and do not over-water; once more, with feeling: good drainage and do not over-water! Follow suit for all Daphne. Minimum temperature: 0 °F
As if delicious fragrance is not enough the bloom time on this daphne is pretty amazing. Beginning in April the small white to pale pink flowers first appear and fill the air with its delicious scent. It continues this olfactory delight throughout spring, summer, and even into fall. Typically evergreen throughout winter. Tough to find a better year-round plant.
A small yet outstanding shrub for the fragrant garden, ETERNAL FRAGRANCE® has scented white flowers blushed with pink that burst forth in spring and continue through summer and autumn. It's semi-evergreen, but may lose its foliage after a cold snap and will leaf out again in the spring. The growth habit is naturally dense and twiggy, requiring little pruning. Although daphnes have a reputation for being "difficult" this one will be happier in sandy or well-drained soil with full sun to light shade and only occasional watering in summer once it is established. They can be cranky in containers and do not enjoy being transplanted, so plant them in their forever home the first time. Plants may be slow the first year or two in the garden but pick up steam as they mature. The key to daphnes is to enjoy them in the present while they are with you, and do not think of the future. Think of them as "Be here now" plants. Limited fertilizer and a sunny location can prolong their lives. Sorry, no guarantee on this item.

As one who never saw a Daphne she didn't like, you might not believe me, but this is a truly outstanding plant! Its rounded, full 2-3' is just right to tuck into just about any sunny site. The strong scented flowers cover the plant in early spring and then again in about 4 to 6 weeks and repeats until fall!!!! They knew what they were doing when they named this one.

A wonderful Daphne from noted plantsman Robin White. The white flowers of 'Eternal Fragrance' are powerfully fragrant and with blush pink coloring after cool nights. After an initial spring bloom, it blooms irregularly through summer and fall; living up to its name. Semi-evergreen in zone 7 and deciduous in colder areas.
