Large clusters of sweetly-scented flowers (purple in bud and reverse, white open) decorate this 4-6' shrub in late-winter/very-early spring; its bark is sometimes used for paper making. S-PSh/M

Our original plants came from Marshall Olbrich (Western Hills Nsy). This is the largest daphne in the world. It can grow to 20' in shade. Borderline hardiness here. We had our plant outside until 8 °F. These great container plants start blooming at Thanksgiving and finish in March. Pleasing, sweet daphne fragrance.
