Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A small (18'x18') evergreen shrub. The deep green small leaves make a good backdrop to the rich purple clusters of flowers. Needs full sun to flower heavily.
The grex is collina x petraea with collina as the seed parent, according to Halda Kazbali has precedence over Rollsdorfii. 'Wilhelm Schacht' was raised by Fritz Kummert in 1979; it is very free flowering with fragrant pinkish purple flowers, an exciting small Daphne, surprisingly easy despite the petraea parentage.
Easy to grow yet very floriferous and fragrant, making it another good candidate for folks who never tried their hands on daphnes yet. (see also D. collina x D. cneorum) Similar to D. cneorum but more upright and darker. Like all daphnes, needs excellent drainage.
A fragrant dwarf rosy flowered Daphne that blooms in mid spring. Has dark green leaves and a bushy habit, eventually reaching 20", in our lifetimes expect to see it 12". As with most Daphnes, don't overwater and it likes full sun and well-drained soil. ( D. collina x D. petraea.)
