Chaenomeles x superba 'Crimson and Gold' is a broadleaf deciduous shrub with green foliage. In spring and winter red flowers emerge followed by green and yellow fruit. Attracts bees, birds and hummingbirds making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly shade and even moisture water. Does well in average, rich and well-drained soil.

A lovely quince with cup-shaped bright crimson red blooms with a cluster of conspicuous gold stamen in the the center. Blooms are followed by shiny dark green leaves With a low spreading habits, it reaches a height of 24-36". This compact form is great for the smaller garden and is one of the signs that spring is finally arrived!
