A favorite of ours, this beautiful compact shrub (3' tall by 5' wide) is absolutely covered in double, soft apricot-coral flowers in early spring, these shrubs make beautiful specimens or fabulous hedges; very low-maintenance and interesting edible quince like fruits too. S/M

Deciduous, compact shrub with an abundance of double, apricot-pink blooms in the early spring. Green foliage begins emerging at about the same time as the flowers appear in spring. Growth Rate medium

The only Flowering Quince in Dirr's garden, high praise indeed, an outstanding disease resistant plant with incredible double peachy pink flowers.

While Quince were once coined “one of the most precious and invaluable of the early flowering shrubs” by British author, Mrs. C. W. Earle, this particular cultivar headlines numerous top ten lists as a preeminent spring blooming woody. Heralding winter’s end, gorgeous double blossoms with soft apricot-pink shades are poised in stalkless clusters on stout naked stems. Fine-toothed, deciduous leaves later host edible and perfumed reddish yellow berries known to make delicious preserves. Easily maintained when allotted a sunny, well drained site, numerous springy branches form a dense, compact thicket that can be grown along a pathway or dramatically spotlit against a wall.

Elegant apricot colored flowers on a wide, dense plant. Good as a medium height hedge or screen. Can take difficult conditions. Can reach 4- 5' tall left unchecked but adaptable to pruning. Recommended by: Garden Clubs of America.

Double apricot-pink flowers spring, thornless green-yellow fruit fall, deer resistant. USDA zones 5-9.

    By: Lael's Moon Garden

A fully double, peach colored flower in April. This is a stunning Quince. The red and white blooming forms of Quince have been popular for years but they'd better step back, because Cameo's double peach blooms are going to take the trade by storm. Michael Dirr says if he could only have one Quince in his yard, this would be it! THORNLESS!

    By: Lazy S'S Farm Nursery

One of the best doubles around! Soft, apricot-pink flowers adorn the branches at the same time as the fresh green leaves emerge. More resistant than some to leaf blight, and a bonus, no thorns!

    By: Greer Gardens Inc.

Double peach flowers cover this flowering quince in early spring. Many people think the quinces are too wild colored. C. 'Cameo' has very soft colored flowers that can combine with other plants.
