Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Vaccinium macrocarpon ‘Hamilton’ is a dwarf cranberry that packs a big punch. It grows as a low ground cover to just 3 inches tall by 12 inches wide with tiny, dark green, glossy foliage that turns bright red in the fall. Tiny, bell-shaped, pink flowers delight in late spring to summer followed by classic bright red, tart, edible berries in fall just in time for Thanksgiving dinner. Take advantage of its low growing habit and evergreen foliage in rock gardens, as a ground cover, as edging in borders, and in containers for all season interest. Prefers evenly moist to wet soils. Self-fertile. The flowers attract bees and the fruit attracts birds. A Canadian native from Ontario to Newfoundland. Photo: Wikipedia.
