Mahonia x media 'Buckland' is a broadleaf evergreen shrub with green foliage. In winter yellow flowers emerge. Features glossy texture. Grows well with mostly sun - bright shade and even moisture - occasional water. Does well in clay, rich and well-drained soil.
Loosely-branched soft-yellow flower clusters up to 2' wide which are deliciously fragrant grace this incredible specimen in late fall into winter, the blooms stunning, especially so with the red-tinged winter foliage of the much-divided evergreen leaves on this 6-15' shrub; this is a statement plant and a 1993 RHS Award of Garden Merit recipient.
