Soft 4” pink hardy orchid. This easy plant will slowly spread to make a pretty group of flowers in July. 4” pot $ 22.00
Thin 3-4' spikes are climbed by multiple breathtaking lavender and rose, purple-streaked orchid flowers with a yellow throat, the blooms (up to 35 per stalk!) appear in early June and are a lovely highlight for woodland, border or container, creates slowly spreading clump of bright-green sword-shaped leaves; this is a great plant for creating a 'tropical' garden in temperate areas. What an elegant plant this is! She blooms precociously and prolifically, mid- to late spring, with lavender-violet orchid flowers that have a distinctive yellow and purple lip spotted red. Pleated light green lance-shaped leaves rise from the base. This plant is hardy, though it looks exotic, and lightly colonizing. 2' x 2' Minimum temperature: -10°F
Plant sends up prolific flowering spikes up to 3’ and covered in beautiful glowing lavender blooms, Bletilla is one of my favorite orchids hands down. Hardiness Zone 6 – 10.
Blooms: spring-summer, magenta, yellow/red throat, strap like foliage Zone 6-9. 12"-24", China, part shade-sun, moist, well drained
Pale lavender blooms. Full to part sun.
This is an overachieving Type A taking care of No. 1 hardy Orchid but while we find these qualities wearisome in people, we are all over it when it comes to Orchids! Gotta love the attitude of a 40" flowering stem holding as many as 35 pale pink flowers, Good drainage with moisture. PP19878
