Add some flair to your garden with this beautiful and exotic looking creamy-yellow ground orchid; each bloom decorated with orange and purple spotted lips. 'Chinese Butterfly' is a wonderfully vigorous, precocious flowering strain of B. ochracea (Chinese Ground Orchid) which was introduced by Linda Guy of the Carolina Nursery. Sword-like foliage arises from pseudobulbs to form clumps 18" tall x 15" wide which spread slowly . S/M/GDr

Wonderful ground orchid from a vigorous strain introduced by Linda Guy of Carolina Nurseries, with exotic flowers of five petals, in pale creamy yellow and a darker yellow lip spreckled with purple -- 3-5 blossoms on stem to 20" tall amongst iris-like foliage. Morning sun or light, dappled shade. Frost hardy at least into the single digits, F., upper USDA zone 7.

In late spring, these soft primrose-yellow flowers with highlights of soft yellow are long-lasting. They appear later than Bletilla striata. A succession of bletillas- how wonderful that would be. 16" tall Minimum temperature: -10°F

Plant sends up prolific flowering spikes up to 3’ and covered in beautiful glowing blooms, Bletilla is one of my favorite orchids hands down. Hardiness Zone 6 – 10.

    By: Florida Hill Nursery

The soft primrose yellow, 2-2-1/2" butterfly-like flowers are held on dainty but sturdy stems in summer atop the pleated medium green strap-like foliage. A hardy terrestrial orchid that does well in morning sun or filtered shade in a rich garden soil. This is an improved selection produced by Linda Guy of Carolina Nursery.
