Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This golden-foliaged monkey grass, from the highlands of Kentucky, can take a bit of shade and still flower just like the regular green one, producing purple clusters in midsummer, a great contrast with the chartreuse foliage. Accepts half sun to full shade, growing to 12?? or so. Useful as edging or in a container. Be the first on the block with this stunner. Frost hardy to USDA zone 6.
Brilliantly gold leaved liriope, foliage is bright and contrasts beautifully with the purple flowers. I used to not like this yellow or chartreuse foliaged things, but I've done a 180 and now really adore them, especially in the shade. Speaking of shade, in too dark conditions this will green-out over the course of the summer, so more sun for more bright colors. Can burn, however, in full sun especially if it dries out, so light shade is the best. Zone 6
Chartreuse to gold, leathery leaves. Perfect to lighten up dark spots in shade or create some contrast next to dark leaved plants. Spikes of violet-purple buds open to lavender flowers. Evergreen and drought tolerant.
Lilac flowers. Tufted gold evergreen foliage
Exciting NEW golden leaf form of Liriope that retains its bright color well into hot weather before fading to chartreuse. Color is most prominent on new growth; 12" flower spikes of blue contrast beautifully with the foliage. Mounds are 8-10" tall and quite vigorous but not invasive; a great shade ground cover or accent plant, part sun to moderate shade; most soils with decent drainage and average moisture; deer resistant.
This is a choice pale gold foliaged Liriope which creates a neat contrast with other more somber plants. Evergreen except in severe winters and typical spikes of lavender flowers late in the season.
