Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Sometimes during research I’ll happen upon a website devoted to alpine plants, & immediately I will be driven to distraction & drooling. Curses that so many alpines hate our too warm & too wet Winters! Anyways, here’s a doll-sized plant that actually thrives in our climate! Native from Portugal to the Pyrenees, in Spring it bears charming single half inch candy-pink flowers on stems to 12” tall above little tufted blue-green grassy mats. The rest of the year it stays much shorter – forming a 3” high by 1’ wide cushion. Sweet in a pot or at the very edge of a path. Good drainage would be appreciated, as well as an occasional helping of compost. Very drought tolerant!
