Yankee Doodle Lilac is one of the darkest purple lilacs on the market. The fragrant panicles can be up to 8in long. The blooms emerge in late spring and lasts about 3 - 4 weeks. Lilacs need neutral to alkaline soil PH to thrive. Butterflies, hummingbirds and bees are attracted to the blooms. Plant the Yankee Doodle Lilac near a window where the fragrant scent will drift into. Can be planted as a specimen shrub or a used as a hedge.
