Brimming with old-fashioned charm, 'Betsy Ross' wards off mildew, endures warmer weather and flourishes in a vast range of climates, from Minnesota to the deep south and both east and west coasts.
The first Syringa released from the U.S. National Arboretum, 'Betsy Ross' is well adapted to warmer climates. Hybridized by the late Dr. Donald Egolf, this Syringa seems to have it all; superior, disease resistant foliage, abundant white, fragrant flowers and a compact growth habit. 'Betsy Ross' has been successfully evaluated in a wide range of zones; from Minnesota to the deep south and both the east and west coasts.
