Yellow flowers have a deep seated red blotch flaring out to red spotting on the dorsal lobe. Strong plant structure with dark green leaves. With its superb hardiness marks a vast improvement over previous Leach introductions. A great substitute for R. 'Capistrano'.

Strong upright plant. Flowers are yellow with a red blotch. Foliage and habit is vastly improved over previous hardy yellow Rhododendrons. Has very prominent red flower buds in the fall and winter that contrast nicely with it's dark green foliage.
