This cultivar is a polyploid form of the already well-loved 'Orchid Lights'. Its improvements are: lusher more colorful foliage (purple and bronze in autumn) and larger flowers. Spring brings bright-pink blooms with a lovely, buttery splotch of yellow. The entire 3-4' shrub is magnificent from bud to foliage. This azalea is extremely hardy and a wonderful choice for specimen or mixed border. S-PSh/M
This rhododendron is a more vigorous form of 'Orchid Lights'. Has large pink flowers.
A form of 'Orchid Lights', this cultivar boasts thicker, more lush foliage with slightly glaucous coloring and larger clear pink flowers. Hardiness is -30 °F. A beauty even where hardiness isn't needed.

'Western Lights' is a polyploid form of the tried-and-true standard 'Orchid Lights'. It boasts thicker, more lush foliage with a slightly glaucous tone and larger flowers. The good, clear pink coloring is still present, but the entire plant is a lot showier from bud to foliage. Late-midseason bloom.
