This cold hardy shrub features a massive display of lightly scented, heavenly, yellow, trumpet-shaped flowers in spring before leafing out. Foliage is narrow and green then takes on outstanding purple shades in fall on upright plants 4-5 feet tall and wide. Does best in full sun to partial shade. Enjoys a rich, acidic soil. Use in the border, as a specimen, focal point or mass planting. Pollinator attractor.
