Tricyrtis 'Sinonome' is a broadleaf deciduous perennial with green foliage. In fall and summer burgundy, purple and white flowers emerge. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly shade and even moisture - regular water. Drought tolerant once established. ‘Sinonome’ is one of the tallest Tricyrtis reaching 2-3’ tall and 1-3’ wide. It displays beautiful burgundy, purple, and white blooms above attractive deep green foliage. Plant in part sun to full shade in rich, well-drained soil. Resistant to Verticillium Wilt.
Long esteemed in Japan for its elegant cut flowers, 'Sinonome' presents a pleasing vase-shaped clump of upright stems lined with lustrous, clean-looking dark green foliage. Emerging from buds the color of chocolate, white, upfacing blooms show off richly colored ruby freckles. One of the more heat and drought tolerant Toadlilies, this Tricyrtis could be planted next to Aster divaricatus.
