A ground-cover of great usefulness with gold to chartreuse foliage that is sensational with black mondo grass. Will smother all encroaching weeds and is excellent beside a path or spilling over a wall. Requires sun to retain its golden glow.

An evergreen (ever-yellow?) creeping groundcover which forms a dense mat only 1-2" high; numerous small fragrant flowers thru the summer; will spread. S-Sh/M-W (more yellow in the sun and fine for moist areas)

A glistening yellow carpet on the ground – ethereal floating on the water as an aquatic, this versatile glowing ground cover is one of our favorites! Evergreen, flat growth will light up your life! Light shade is ideal – average soil, water or tolerates submersion in water for long periods (months). Also great in pots, hanging baskets!

Zn 4. Trailing gold foliage. Yellow flowers.

One of my favorite ground covers. I use its bright yellow foliage as a foil for Ophiopogon planiscapus nigrescens and things like blue Hostas. It's quick to fill in an area, but by no means invasive.

A fast growing gold leafed groundcover, the green version is a weed but the gold is OK. ZONE 4

Lysimachia nummularia aurea is a spreading perennial with chartruse foliage producing yellow flowers for 2-3 months beginning in July...part shade to shade..growing 3-4" tall...giving highlights to shady areas

Same habit as the above plant but with golden leaves

By: Fantastic Plants

A flat growing evergreen spreading perennial with rounded golden-yellow foliage. A great accent for container gardens, as a groundcover, or between pavers. Tolerant of moist conditions such as a bog garden or the edge of a pond.

By: Almost Eden

Prostrate perennial. Creeping, rooting stems. Round soft yellow leaves which will be pale green in deeper shade. Bright yellow flowers. Wonderful for softening pond edges but will grow in dryer spots in sun or shade.

Liquid gold for a dull shady corner! Not invasive like the common green type, “Golden Pennywort” forms a low super dense weed-suppressing mat to only 2” tall & 2’ wide, filling in bare spots & weaving itself between plants. This is one groundcover that really does what it’s supposed to do! Cool with dark foliage like Uncinia uncinata ‘Red’ & Heuchera x micrantha 'Melting Fire'. It’s a primo choice for cascading over the edge of a bed, barrel, hanging basket or trailing into a pond. EASY, fairly fast & low maintenance.
