Lysimachia paridiformis var. stenophylla is a unique and wonderful shade plant with whorls of shiny, dark green leaves with attractive, often lighter green and indented veins. In summer, the top of the whorl bears a cluster of bright yellow flowers. This is a clumping perennial that will not spread. Grow in average to humus-rich, evenly moist to wet soils from shade to morning sun. Evergreen in milder zones.

Pinwheels of pointed, evergreen leaves create mounds of dark green to 10” tall and 24” wide; central clusters of golden yellow flowers in late spring. Well behaved perennial for well drained soils, sun in the north, part shade elsewhere, consistent moisture

Evergreen perennial to about one ft high and slowly spreading with gold speckled yellow-green leaves and spidery yellow flowers. Tough, requiring only consistent moisture and protection from the harshest sun. Looking good year round. Good in containers. USDA zone 7.

Newer Lysimachia from China that is quite well behaved in the garden and well worth growing. In fact, we are growing it. Very attractive foliage is a nice setting for the cluster of golden flowers. This really helps extend the bloom in the spring dominated shade garden.
