Large (to 10" x 10") glossy, textured leaves ?with substance that must be felt to be believed? make 2', pest-resistant, chartreuse to golden mounds which will take full hot sun. S-PSh/M
HUGE LEAVES to 12” across make this a very special hosta! Deeply veined foliage on medium green glossy leaves make a ‘gi-normous’ statement in the shaded garden...this baby will get to 4’ across and takes 2-3 years to really reach it’s full potential. This hosta is not partial to sun and enjoys a high filtered shade. The usual hosta culture will make this big and beautiful hosta happy! USDA Z3
Zn 3. Lavender flowers. Immense gold leaves.
Large, heart-shaped leaves are a glossy, chartreuse color, changing to more golden in full sun. Whitish-lilac blooms appear on 3' tall scapes in mid-summer. Growth Rate fast
The enormous, golden leaves - largest of any Hosta - form a huge mound up to six feet across of glowing gold that lights up the shade. Pale lavender flowers appear in August. All eyes turn to it! Just give it enough space to show off. Photo courtesy of Walters Gardens.
One of the biggest and best known varieties, 'Sum and Substance' is a huge unruly mound of thick, puckered, gold foliage. Leaves may be 20" long and 15" wide. Pale lavender flowers in summer. Somewhat sun tolerant with adequate moisture. Give this one space, mine is around 6' wide! AHGA Hosta of the Year 2004.

Not for the tiny woodland garden since the impressive chartreuse foliage can create mounds 6' wide. Wonderful combined with Rodgersias and ferns.
One of the finest hostas ever introduced. It has huge (over 1' across) chartreuse leaves that change to medium gold in sun, which it tolerates better than most other hostas do. Masses of lavender flowers on 3' scapes appear in midsummer. The list of accolades is impressive: AHG 2004 Hosta of the Year. AGM winner. GPP award.
