Hosta ‘Lakeside Cupcake’ has round leaves that emerge in spring with blue-green margins and gold centers. As the leaves mature, they become cupped with blue margins, creamy-white centers, and green jetting between the two. Displays pale lavender flowers. Hostas, also called Plantain Lillies, grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils. A good partner for ferns. Although the flowers are attractive, Hostas are usually grown for their ornamental foliage.
