Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Up to 6" across! with bright red-orange-magenta horizontal petals, the flowers of this E. purpurea x E. paradox hybrid are lightly honey-scented, VERY beautiful, floriferous and long flowering (July-Oct) on 3' stalks. S/M PPAF
One of the celebrated stars from Richard Saul's highly touted Big Sky breeding program in Atlanta, Georgia, 'Sundown' colors the landscape with blazing intensity. Vibrant, nearly iridescent pinkish orange petals bend back and overlap one another as they swirl around a pronounced chocolate-brown hub. A cross between purpurea and paradoxa, this Echinacea is not only a flamboyant, sweetly fragrant beauty, but a stocky workhorse delivering vigorous, multibranched stems and broad dark green foliage. (PPAF)
ECHINACEA PURPUREA SUNDOWN, a hybrid single daisy coneflower with warm orange petals, slightly fragrant, brownish center cones. Multi branched stems, profuse blooming, growing to 36", flowering june to frost, excellent cut flower, attracts butterflies, hardy zone 4-9
At last, a coneflower that's not purple! This selection sports warm russet-orange flowers with a prominent, brownish central cone. Their nice wide petals are slightly reflexed and overlap, giving the blossoms a full, substantial presence. Plant this one up close where you can enjoy its delightful rose-like fragrance. Sundown™ is similar to 'Sunset' PP16424 but stands about 8-10 inches taller. Though the flowers are slightly smaller, Sundown™ is a more vigorous grower.
