Fatal Attraction' is a superb perennial with upward magenta-purple rays and orange-bronze central cones, set off by the dark wine-black stems. A top performer, it is tolerant of drought, heat, humidity and poor soil. In summer they attract butterflies, in winter the seed-filled cones are visited by goldfinches. Fragrant, too.
A hybrid conflower with non-drooping petals. Large deep purple-pink flowers on dark almost black stems. The blossoms having double row of petals, atop strong stems, attract butterflies. Long lasting cut flowers, plants bloom from late June to frost. Hardy zone 4-8 , deer resistant bushy plants.
We're offering this Piet Oudolf selection of pink coneflower for it's clear rich flowers, dark wine tinted stems and sturdy compact habit. Growing to just over 2' tall, blooming begins for us in mid July, and continues for 6-8 weeks.
