This cutie is a mere 6” tall and would love to be in your fairy garden or fern table! Creates a compact 10” wide evergreen clump of handsome dragon tail fronds (sometimes with babies on the tips) and enjoys slightly moist soil in light shade...pretty in the rock garden or as a small potted specimen. How about a planting in your woodland garden along the base of a rotting log? So CUTE!!
Asplenium ebenoides is a dwarf fern that forms a low, evergreen mound of narrow, triangular fronds, slowly making a small clump. Deer resistant. Ferns thrive in neutral to acidic, loose, richly organic soil. Dragon’s Tail Fern is excellent for mass plantings, rock gardens, containers, in woodlands and naturalized landscapes.
Long, narrow, arching evergreen fronds with irregular jagged edges are reminiscent of Puff, the Magic Dragon's, tail. This is an eastern North America native, a compact perennial 16" tall.
Cute fern w/ narrowly triangular, lanceolate blades that are deeply divided & deeply toothed w/ elongated narrow "tails". Plant in partial sun to moderate shade. Zones 5 to 8. Height: 6" to 12". Evergreen.
From limestone cliffs comes an unusual hybrid between Ebony Spleenwort (A.platyneuron) ; walking fern (Camptosorus); a small 4-9" fern with variable fronds, some with the long dragons-tail tip of walking fern. PSh/GdDrain/Lime
