Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This is an outstanding species for foliage. Very slow-growing and best treated as a “giant alpine” with great drainage and not too much heat. Beautiful, absolutely beautiful foliage which is somewhat rounded in general outline and quite glossy above and only now developing a characteristic felted indumentum beneath. White to pink flowers in mid-spring, usually with reddish spots. From wild-collected seed.
Pink to white flowers, spotted crimson.
