The fall color is rich and varied and can give an impression of stained glass when the evening light shines through. This is an upright tree with stiff and stout branches forming a vase shape. The trunk and branches are an impressive deep reddish-purple--beautiful all year, but especially in winter. It's great for an accent, a focal point, or for a dense screen. And, obligingly, does not want much summer water. 6'T x 4'W in 10 yrs.
