Nursery contributed plant descriptions

One of the most sought after species in the genus Rhododendron. Its huge trusses of yellow make it famous for having the finest flowers of its genus. The handsome foliage is large, to 8" long, oval, and strongly decorative in nature, being covered with a fawn colored felt-like indumentum underneath. It makes a magnificent bold looking plant and is one rhododendron that does better grafted than on its own roots. Flowers to 2" long, are wide funnel form, the pale yellow or sulphur white color occasionally tinged with pink or with a crimson blotch, sometimes flowering when quite young. (Hy, hy, Talenesia)
