Orange-red margins with yellow cascading down deep in the throat make this truss shine bright in a landscape. A hybrid of Willard and Margaret Thompson of Waldport, Oregon and selected by the by both Flower & Garden and American Horticulturist as an outstanding rhododendron introduction, also on the cover of the American Rhododendron Society's Journal. Recognition it truly deserves.
The yellow flower is ringed by a magnificent orange-red that is different from anything else. It is the hybrid of Willard and Margaret Thompson of Waldport, Oregon and they certainly can be proud of this sensational plant. It's vigorous, compact growing and densely covers itself with attractive mountain green leaves. Selected by Flower & Garden and American Horticulturist as an outstanding rhododendron introduction, also featured as the cover picture of the Journal of the American Rhododendron Society. We can hardly keep up with the demand. ('Darigold' x 'Idealist')
