Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A Weston Nurseries introduction, New Century is a compact grower, with pale yellow (greenish yellow) blossoms. It holds its leaves for 3 years, rather than 2 like the other rhodies which makes the plants look fuller as the lower leaves stay an extra year. Grows to about 4' x 4" and is hardy to minus 15F. 1 gallon plants for spring shipping.
(catawbiense hybrid (pale yellow flowers) x [unnamed pale yellow hybrid x 'Bristol Cream']) The ball shaped trusses on this rhody have cream yellow flowers rimmed with deeper yellow ruffles. The dorsal lobe has a deeper yellow blotch and soft green streaks, topped off with a short calyx this is a delicious flower reminiscent of grandma's, farm fresh, whipped butter.
