Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Tight trusses of dark, blood-red flowers sit atop large, glossy, elliptical foliage. Attractive year round.
This is an outstanding rhododendron in every respect, and it is beautiful in all seasons. The foliage is elliptical, about 5-7" long and 2 to 2½" wide, dark, glossy green and of a heavy texture reminiscent of a polyploid. You'll swear these leaves were just polished! The flowers are also of a heavy texture and are a bright, but deep, blood red, held in round, tight trusses. ('Jean Marie de Montague' x 'Indiana')
