Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This spectacular evergreen azalea features masses of fiery crimson red flowers from April to May. Attractive small rounded leaves on this low-growing, compact shrub acquire a handsome bronze tint in winter. Perfect as an accent plant or show-stopping when massed, this is a smaller shrub which typically matures to 3' tall and somewhat wider to 5'. Hummingbirds and bees are also drawn to this stunning specimen. PSh/M
Difficult to beat the billows of intense red that appear in April each year. As popular as today as when it first was imported into England and the United States nearly a 100 years ago.
Small, single red flowers cover this evergreen shrub in February to April. Compactly branched, mounding form. Dark green foliage turns reddish in the winter. While very toxic to livestock, they seem to not be a problem for dogs & cats. Growth Rate slow
Crimson flowers cover the small foliage in spring, humusy soil, regular water, USDA zones 5-9. GPP for the NW.
Bright crimson flowers unfold in April, holding their color well into ensuing weeks. This attribute, coupled with sun tolerance and red winter foliage, makes 'Hino Crimson' an excellent all around choice. Planted in the open, it grows to a dense 2½' mound, although it adapts well for use as hedging. Very popular!
